If you’re looking for hours to support your work-life balance, this could be the Business Development Executive position for you! With highly sought-after term time only work available, either part-time or full-time.

A motivated individual is required for an innovative and multi-award winning educational consultancy; you will be working within a successful and enthusiastic team who genuinely want to improve the lives of young people.

This is a new position that will oversee the sales of online resources into schools. All contacts with headteachers and teachers are warm because they have recently attended an event or received a trial of the available products, and you will earn commission on each product licence sold! A minimum of 20 hours per week over four days is required, with up to 37.5 hours per week available for the ideal candidate.

The Business Development Executive will be involved with the following activities:

  • Contacting schools and principals who have recently attended an event via phone and email to answer questions and determine whether the product is of interest to them.
  • Creating and adhering to an efficient sales process
  • Providing the management team with monthly sales reports and data
  • Making certain that the CRM system is kept up to date

A background in sales or business development, or experience with outbound customer contact. This could come from a variety of customer-focused backgrounds, such as B2B or B2C environments. We value the right personality and approach more!

  • A proven track record of converting warm leads or inquiries into sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding how schools operate is beneficial but not required.
  • Motivation, organisation, and the ability to follow a process are all important.
  • Being effective within a small and dedicated team, where individual contribution and assistance to others is critical to our success
  • Good IT skills with MS Office; if you have CRM experience, that’s even better!
  • Please keep in mind that this position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The Business Development Executive will work 40 weeks per year on term time only, with a salary of around £25,000 per year (pro rata for part time), plus the opportunity to earn £6000 in commission in the first year. Because this is a critical role for us, the compensation package is negotiable for the right candidate.
